AAU Northern Indoor National Championship - Rockford, IL 1/14/2017
ROCKFORD MEET, SAT. JAN. 14th: For all vaulters NOT going to Reno, please join us in Rockford, IL for the AAU Northern Indoor National Championship on Saturday, January 14th. Warm-up starts at 8am, meet begins at 9am. A sign-up is at the front desk at the Den (yellow pad of paper). You must sign up no later this Saturday, January 7th at 1pm and you need to have your AAU #. Emma Hartness (longtime Dragon, collegiate vaulter and part-time Dragons coach) will coach our vaulters at this meet. Once we know who’s going, we will coordinate drivers (let us know if you can drive) and pole packing. Sign up ASAP!!
Located at the Auburn High School Fieldhouse; 5110 Auburn St. Rockford, IL 61101
$35 per athlete, $7 per spectator. Warm ups begin at 8 AM Saturday morning, competition starts at 8:30 AM. 1/8 inch spikes or smaller required.

For over 20 years the Flying Dragons Pole Vault Club has been instructing central Illinois vaulters. The club advocates a team environment. Proper techniques and safety are taught at all levels. Athletes are able to compete in local, regional, and national Track and Field events. Beginner to advanced participants, parents, and coaches are welcome.
ATTENTION ALL FLYING DRAGONS MEMBERS: AAU and/or USATF Registration
EACH VAULTER MUST HAVE A USATF NUMBER OR AAU NUMBER PRIOR TO PRACTICING.

Since becoming an official pole vault club in 2001, we’ve helped over 120 athletes pursue pole vaulting at the collegiate level with over $8.4 million in collegiate scholarships.
Poles! BRING BACK YOUR POLES. Check poles out and in within 24 hours.
We are a non-profit organization but we have a big rent expense each month. Please pay your dues in a timely manner–approximately 1 week before the month begins. Dues of $200/month must be paid in order to pay our rent!
We do not have a janitor and must keep our den in good condition. Please dispose of water bottles etc. in the trash, keep track of your belongings, and put equipment away. If you are not sure how to help – just ask! We all need to pitch in and help keep the den in good order.
